Cyber-resilient IoT hardware requires Row-Hammer-protected DRAM ICs or modules!

Zentel Japan was established in 2003 as DRAM chip design center and part of the Taiwan-based Powerchip Group; in 2006, it took over the processing of Powerchip wafers as packaged, finally-tested DRAM ICs in Taiwan as well as global marketing and sales.USP is an industry-first cyber-resilient, chip-integrated Row Hammer protection circuit after the third DDR generation proved vulnerable to remote attacks in IoT systems. Later it was enhanced with on-chip Error Correction Code and a proprietary signal output responding upon a bit-flip overflow as timely warning to the system regarding potential remote attacks. A technical article on this subject, titled "The Great DRAM Firewall" (Protecting IIoT Infrastructure), was published in *Markt&Technik* during the recent electronica 2024 trade show.
